The Sharks picked up right where they left off before the All-Star break, shutting out the Colorado Avalanche 3-0. Evgeny Nabokov stopped 31 shots for his 43rd career shutout and Milan Michalek scored 2 goals as the Western Conference leading Sharks won for the 6th time in 7 games.

Nabokov had a good time turning in his 3rd shutout of the season. He made several sensational saves, including one with his ass in the 1st period, stopping Ryan Smyth’s potential score by landing on top of the puck as Nabokov slowly drifted inside the net.

However, the puck never crossed the line, just a sprawled out Nabokov. The play was reviewed and the ruling of no goal upheld. The only thing sexier than a sprawled out hockey goalie, is a a sprawled out Japanese tourist.

Next game is Thursday night at the Tank against the Phoenix Coyotes.
