Niners make me sick; lose to lowly Seahawks

The 49ers picked up where they left off on Sunday, losing to the Seahawks 34-13 and making people physically sick.

Between the turnovers and lack of a pass rush, this guy had seen enough. I don't blame him.

On Sunday the 49ers accomplished the following:

1. Lost their 5th game in a row

2. Started the Mike Singletary era by laying a huge egg

3. Benched their quarterback

4. Lost to a team who’s quarterback is Seneca Wallace

5. Lost by 21points to the last place team in the division at home

6. Made people sick

JTO continued his ways by throwing 2 interceptions and losing a fumble. His play was so bad that even after 13 beers I still remembered his shitty play.

As bad as the Niners played, they were actually in the game late in the first half. Trailing 13-3, they had driven down into Seahawks territory. JTO proceeded to throw an interception to a wide open defender who ran it back 75 yards down the sideline for a TD. Instead of the Niners closing the game to 13-10 or at least 13-6, it was now 20-3 at halftime and the game was basically over.

The pass rush sucked and got no pressure on perrenial backup Seneca Wallace.

Thank God the Niners can’t lose this week……they have a bye. This will be the first week they don’t lose since September 21st.

49ers give Nolan the ax, name Singletary head coach

On Monday the 49ers did what we were all expecting and fired head coach Mike Nolan. Nolan had a year and a half left on his original 5 year, $8 million deal. Defensive coach Mike Singletary was named the head coach for the remainder of the year.

Mike Nolan couldn't have been too shocked to be fired on Monday by the Niners.

I think I speak for most Niners fans when I say we are ready for a change at head coach. Not only was Nolan not getting W’s and not motivating his players to perform, but every game there seemed to be curious calls or decisions from Nolan. Whether it was not calling for a challenge when he should or calling for a challenge when he shouldn’t or calling timeouts at curious times, or poor clock management, Nolan almost seemed to make coaching mistakes during a game.
The 49ers latest game is a perfect example of a team that was poorly prepared. 13 penalties for 134 yards, 4 turnovers and 6 sacks is unacceptable.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the team responds to Singletary. If they play well under him, it will be interesting to see what the Niners do in the offseason. Mike Holmgren will be available and Martz is the offensive coordinator, so this off-season will be interesting.
It’s pretty fuckin sad that week 7 just ended and I’m talking about the off-season.  Pathetic…..

Turnovers continue to haunt Niners in latest loss to NY Giants

The 49ers were expected to lose today to the NY Giants and they didn’t disappoint as the Giants beat the Niners 29-17, handing the Niners there 4th straight loss. JTO threw 2 interceptions and lost a fumble in the 4th quarter, which we are all learning to expect from him.

JT O'Sullivan fumbles as he is being sacked in the 4th quarter.

The Niners defense continued their shaky play. They looked good at times, but at other times, they looked bad. The defense didn’t record a sack and didn’t force any turnovers.

On the other hand, the Giants’ defense forced 3 turnovers and recorded 6 sacks. They also held Frank Gore to a mere 11 yards on only 11 carries.

I can’t really get too upset because we are simply not even close to as good as the Giants, but I’m still so god damn sick of losing. The Niners seem to find new ways to lose each week. In addition to the turnovers, the Niners had 13 penalties for 134 penalty yards.

JTO had 256 yards passing and a TD, but threw 2 picks and lost a fumble.  Josh Morgan had a nice game with 5 catches for 86 yards and a TD, but he did drop a pass in the 4th quarter that would have gone for about 50 yards and set up a game changing TD. JTO made a great throw and the ball went right threw Morgan’s hands.

The Niners come home to face the shitty Seahawks. If they lose that game, look for head coach Mike Nolan to be fired.

Boyle scores OT goal to complete awesome comeback!

Defenseman Dan Boyle scored his first goal with the Sharks in the overtime period to give the Sharks an improbably 5-4 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers and improve their 1st place record to 5-1.

The Sharks trailed 3-1 in the final period, but were able to tie the game and force overtime. 1:25 into the overtime, Boyle scored on an assist from Joe Thorton and that was all she wrote.

Boyle was brought in via trade with the Tampa Bay Lighting in the offseason for his ability to jump start the offense and he has delivered with a goal and 4 assists through the first 6 games.

The Sharks outshot the Flyers 45-17!

The Sharks travel to Philadelphia for a rematch with the Flyers on Wednesday.
