Fat FUCK Walker blows game, wastes Lincecum’s 13k performance

Walker blew the lead in the 8th and should not be the setup man.

Lincecum was dealing last night….unfortunately Tyler Walker was not. Lincecum pitched 7 great innings, striking out a career high 13 D-backs, walking none and left the game with a 3-2 lead. Walker came in in the 8th inning and promptly blew the game better than a $2 crackwhore. Walker gave up 3 hits and only retired one of the 5 batters he faced. After the game, Walker said “I’m not going to make any excuses, I didn’t locate the ball well. I just feel like I let everybody in the clubhouse down.” Yeah, no shit! Not to mention us fans at home! I almost choked on my bbq’d steak watching another bullpen collapse. Long gone are the days of Scott Eyre, Todd Worrell and Rob Nen.

Tim Lincecum struck out a career high 13, but got a no-decision.

The Giants clawed there way to a 3-2 lead thanks to Aaron Rowand’s 2-out, 2-run single in the 6th against Brandon Webb, who had his sinker working to perfection. Rowand golfed the pitch into centerfield to give the Giants a 3-2 lead, but it was all for naught.

Today the Giants send ex-ace Barry Zito to the mound against white-trash asshole Randy Johnson to try and prevent a sweep.

A’s fall further behind

Texas put up their dukes once again with another thrashing of the Oakland Athletics. Justin Duchscherer was rocked for the first time in a long time. The A’s were in desperate need for a stop to these losing ways, yet Duchscherer couldn’t get the job done, as the A’s fell to Texas 9-4 in front of 20,623 screaming fans.

Frank Francisco throws a chair at rowdy fans

You wonder why 2 teams out of contention drew so many fans? Probably because they were all hoping to get a rematch from the September 13, 2004 game which left one A’s fan with a broken nose. Unfortunately, there was no such luck…

This loss dropped the A’s to 11.5 back from the leading Angels in the AL West and 1.5 behind the Rangers. Thankfully the Seattle Mariners exsist otherwise we would be celler dwelling. One more with the Rangers tomorrow, let’s hope Dana Eveland (7-7, 3.65) can break us out of this funk. Good luck Dana!

A’s looking to rebound

A’s Pounded The Oakland Athletics were pounded last night 14-6 by the visiting Texas Rangers. Sean Gallagher was spotted a 5 run lead and fricken blew it. The young pitcher acquired from the Cubbies in the Harden deal did not look good in his 2nd A’s start.

Texas Rangers' Josh Hamilton, right, is congratulated by Jarrod Saltalamacchia (25) after Hamilton's two-run home run against the Oakland Athletics in the fourth inning of a baseball game Friday, July 25, 2008, in Oakland, Calif.

I liked Josh Hamilton, right, a lot more when he was strung out.

Today, the A’s look to bounce back, with All-Star Justin Duchscherer (10-6, 1.87) on the mound. Duch hasn’t given up more than 2 earned runs since May 18th, but he faces a tough hitting Rangers Lineup, led by superstar Josh Hamilton.

The A’s have been as cold as could be, with a flurry of transactions over the last couple of weeks and more likely to come, with Street and Embree available, its been a time of transition which is beginning to takes its toll.

Sanchez not so dirty……Giants rocked by d-backs

July 25, 2008 by Doyers Suck · Leave a Comment

Jonathan Sanchez lasted 2 2/3 innings, his shortest outing of the season and was rocked by the d-backs as the Giants lost 10-2. He gave up six runs and five hits while walking four and striking out two. The way Haren was pitching, the game was over at this point. Haren went 8 strong innings, giving up 2 runs and striking out 9 while walking none.

Sanchez was not dirty at all Friday night at AT&T Park.

Sanchez was not dirty at all Friday night at AT&T Park.

In four starts since his last victory, Sanchez is 0-2 with an 8.47 ERA. Hopefully this slump will end soon as the Giants offense is not strong enough to endure these types of pitching performances.

With 5 days left until the trade deadline, who will be shipped out of town? Winn? Aurillia? Roberts? We’ll have to wait and see…..
