Giants bullpen does its job, Correia great for 4 innings, then shitty for 1+

Kevin Correia looked great the first 4 innings and the Giants erupted for 7 runs and led 7-0 after 4 innings against the scumbag doyers from l.a. Then, the same old Correia showed up and he gave up 5 runs in the 5th and 1 more in the 6th.

Brian Wilson collected his 28th save by hitting 100 mph on the radar gun.

All the momentum was going l.a.’s way, but the Giants bullpen did its job and finished the 6th and then proceeded to hold the doyers in check for the 7th, 8th and 9th innings, including Brian Wilson, who pitched the 9th for his league-leading 28th save. Wilson hit 100 mph on the doyers stadium radar gun. He’s buffed. He must work out.

Castillo picked up 2 hits and Omar Vizquel continued his climb back to the Mendoza line.  The Giants will send Matt Cain to the mound Tuesday night against the doyers. Cain is coming off a complete game shutout. Hopefully he hits Kent in the head and throws a shutout.

The San Jose Sabercats came up just short and lost the Arena Bowl 59-56 to the Philadelphia Soul. Now you may be asking yourself, “Who gives a fuck?” I marginally do only because except for maybe the Sharks, it was the closest the Bay Area will get to a championship in a major sport for the next 12 months.

Giants get swept at home, Zito still sucks

July 27, 2008 by Doyers Suck · Leave a Comment

Well, just when Zito makes us all think he is figuring out his struggles, he turns in another shit performance like the one he gave Sunday. Zito pitched 5 innings, the 4th inning being his nemesis, as it took him 42 pitches to get through the inning. Zito gave up 5 walks. I can’t believe we signed this fuckin headcase for 7 years and $126 million! I don’t know who I’m more pissed at, Zito, Sabean for signing him or me for being a Giants fan.

Zito gave up 5 walks Sunday on his way to his 13th loss this season.

Only Fred Lewis had a decent day against white-trash scumbag Randy Johnson, who tossed seven shutout innings. A left-hander, Lewis typically sucks against southpaws. But, facing Johnson for the first time, Lewis was 4-for-5 (two doubles, two singles) and stole two bases.

After getting swept by the Brewers, then sweeping the Nationals in their last series, the Giants were swept by the National League West-leading D-backs. San Francisco now sits a season-high 18 games under .500 and is 10 games out of first place. At least trade somebody so I have something good to report here!

Warriors Lock up Biedrins!

July 27, 2008 by Slicker · Leave a Comment

With two big contracts already given out this summer, might as well make it 3. The Warriors locked up Andris Biedrins with a 6 year 54 million dollar contract today. The contract also includes 9 million in potential performance bonus’. I was fortunate enough to have my special field reporter around the Warrior training facility today and he had the chance to catch up with Andris about his new deal.

Andris happy about new deal
Andris signed a 6y 54mil contract today + bonus incentives

Special Reporter: What is your favorite candy and why?

Andris: Great question, I’m a big Snickers fan… we don’t have Snickers in Latvia.

Special Reporter: I love Snickers. I also love stuffed animals. Thanks and good luck.

With the signing of Andris Biedrins, the Warriors look like they are just about done and the roster is finally coming together. I must say that I am happy with how the off-season turned out. I fully embrace the new Monta/Andris future and look forward to 6 years of watching these guys develop.
